Seven Most Desirable Indian Curry Recipes to Delight Your Guests

When we say curry, we mean an Indian eggs or meat gravy cooked on slow heat with spices and vegetables added to it. The striking Indian recipes of curries are very well admired all over the world and here we’ve given a brief description of some of those recipes:


1)    Chicken Curry
Chicken curry is the most favorite of all curies served in the sub continent. First they sauté onion and tomatoes and then add ginger, garlic, and spices to it. In the end, they add water to prepare the desired consistency of the curry.


2)    Maharashtrian Curry

This curry is cooked in Maharashtrian style and they use coconut oil in the preparation. It is mostly served with rice and a salad of green vegetables is served as an accompaniment. First chicken is marinated in vinegar to best remove its smell. Then they prepare a mixture of ground spices and coconut powder to it. At the end, marinated chicken is cooked in these spices and the entire cooking procedure is done in coconut oil.



3)    Kofta Curry
Koftas are the Indian edition of meatballs and Indian recipe of meatballs can be made with chicken, mutton, lamb, or beef. Koftas are served with rice that is cooked with roasted cumin seeds. When you add water for the gravy, cook it until it is done and add meat balls at the end. Don’t cook for more than 5 minutes after adding meatballs otherwise they will break.


4)    Madras Lamb Curry
The world better knows it as Fiery Madras Curry but there is nothing like Madras curry in India. It is the European version of the type of South Indian curries and all these curries are made with South Indian spices.


5)    Goa Fish Curry
This is the most commonly served main course in Goa India. It is peppery, tangy, and spicy. They serve it with rice but it is your choice to eat it with Indian flat bread. Mostly tuna fish is used in making this curry. If you cannot find tuna, then you can prepare it with any kind of hard white fish.


6)    Egg Curry
There are at least a dozen types of curries prepared with eggs. Sometimes they add vegetables to it when they serve it as a main course. Egg curry basically has a North Indian origin and it is served as a side dish to vegetables, biryani, or pulao.


7)    Rajma
Rajma is cooked with red kidney beans and this dish also has a North Indian origin. First add ingredients to prepare curry and then add red kidney beans to it. You can also soak beans before cooking as it will help make them soft enough so you can mash them to thicken your gravy. They serve it with pickle and boiled rice.
